Online Event: Applying Thermal Packaging Design Principles in Practice

ONLINE EVENT: The live webinar has passed, please access the recording below.

After the positive feedback to the March 2024 online event, Temperature Assurance Packaging (TAP) Fundamentals 101, we present the follow-up edition – TAP 102.

Temperature Assurance Packaging (TAP) is like an onion. The more layers you peel back, the more it’s revealed how important each decision is to ensure the thermal packaging components and design you choose sufficiently protects the valuable payload, while balancing cost and sustainability considerations.

This second edition of TAP online will review thermal packaging fundamentals and how they are applied in real-world scenarios, providing a bridge between theory and practice.

We will evaluate:

  • A use case of a high-volume pharmaceutical manufacturer that was limited with their current packaging
  • The customer’s product shipment requirements to start narrowing down optimal materials including choosing appropriate insulation and coolants
  • Guiding design principles of thermal packaging including heat transfer to prevent temperature fluctuations, resulting in compromised integrity of contents
  • Environmental impact and how to use a Sustainability Scorecard to characterize packaging

Who should attend:

  • Pharmaceutical supply chain and quality assurance professionals who are responsible for protecting temperature sensitive healthcare products
  • Partners to pharmaceutical manufacturers who support supply chain operations and packaging decisions
